Diffusion:

  1. It is the net movement of molecules from higher concentration areas to lower concentration areas.
  2. One of the best examples of diffusion can be observed when we open a bottle of perfume.
  3. When doing so, the perfume diffuses into the air as the molecules of perfume are present in very high concentrations in the bottle.
  4. Another example is Opening the Soda/Cold Drinks bottle and the CO2 diffuses in the air.
  5. Diffusion is used in opening perfume and soda bottles.
