Whether noble gas have charge or not and oxidation number is zero? Why? and give reasons?

Oxidation state of an element is directly or indirectly related to the no. of its valence electrons or the no. of valencies in its Valence shell.In case of noble gases,their outermost shell is completely filled so no vacancy is available in the outer most shell.Thus the oxidation state is zero(0) for Noble gases.
