The correct option is D Indian Councils Act of 1909
In 1905, Gopal Krishna Gokhale was elected as the President of the Benaras session of Indian National Congress. He used this position to voice himself against the British’s plans to divide Bengal. Politically, he was influential in the passing of the Morley-Minto reforms, also known as the Indian Councils Act of 1909. This act helped to increase the number of Indian representation in the government. Gokhale urged that the aim of Congress should be to attain a form of government similar to that which existed in self-governing colonies of the British empire.
