Solution

The correct options are
B

Upper triangular matrices

D

lower triangular matrices

Triangular matrices are a special kind of square matrix. There are two types of triangular matrix.

  1. Lower triangular matrix: A square matrix is called lower triangular if all the entries above diagonal is zero. This doesn’t imply that all the other elements have to be necessarily nor zero.
  2. Upper triangular matrix is when you have a square matrix with all the entries below the main diagonal as zero. Again this doesn’t imply that all the other elements have to be necessarily non-zero.

There's no meaning for the terms right triangular matrix and middle triangular matrix or these don't come under the definition of triangular matrices.
