Which among the following hormones controls the loss of water through urine?
ADH
ADH is also called arginine vasopressin. It is an anti-diuretic hormone. It acts on kidney cells and makes them absorb more water from the urine that is being formed in the kidney. The amount of water to be excreted through urine is controlled by the level of ADH present in the blood. Thus, ADH is responsible for osmoregulation of our body.
