Solution

The correct option is B Glucagon

Hyperglycemic hormone is the hormone which upon binding its target cell results in high blood sugar.

Insulin reduces the blood sugar level. So, it is a hypoglycemic hormone.

Oxytocin causes contraction of uterine muscles. Some recent studies also suggest its role in promoting glucose uptake by cells.

Vasopressin reduces water loss from the body by reabsorbing water from distal convoluted tubules.

Glucagon promotes lysis of glycogen. Glycogen is a polymer of glucose and lysis of glycogen would release glucose. Hence, glycogen is hyperglycemic hormone.
