Sexual reproduction in flowers occurs due to the fusion of male and female gametes(pollen and ovule).After pollination pollen germinates and forms pollen tube that reaches up to the ovary and then pollen released from pollen tube and fuses with ovule (fertilization) to form a zygote. Offspring formed are not the clone because they have half chromosome from male gamete and a half from female gamete.
