Which blood vessel- a vein or an artery connected to a ductless gland carries hormones?

Solution

Veins (Capillaries):

  1. Hormones are secreted into the capillaries by the adrenal glands.
  2. It's possible to watch red blood cells moving through capillaries and veins under a microscope. Hormones, on the other hand, are not visible.
  3. They're in solution in blood plasma, just like salt is in solution in seawater and invisible.
  4. The blood containing hormones must be pumped to reach the target organ, which is done by the heart.
  5. Hormones are released into veins and taken to the heart, where they are then pumped to the target organ.
