All cells (hair bulb and sperms) contain DNA and they can be extracted for the process of DNA fingerprinting.
Red blood cells do not have any DNA, as they lose their nuclei when they mature. So if we are extracting DNA from blood then it is extracted from white blood cells (leucocytes).
