Solution

Horizontal polarization

Vertical polarization

If a transverse wave is oscillating along a particular direction or axis, then it is said to be polarized. A wave oscillating along the x-axis (left-right direction) is horizontally polarized.

If a transverse wave is oscillating along a particular direction or axis, then it is said to be polarized. A wave oscillating along the y-axis (up-down direction) is vertically polarized.
