Question

which cells in c3 plants and c4 plants have RuBisCO?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
C4 plants have two kinds of cells called bundle sheath cells and mesophyll cells unlike only mesophyll cells in C3 plants. In C4 plants Rubisco is present only in bundle sheath cells not in mesophyll cells where oxygen is released during light reactions. In C3 plants Rubisco is present in mesophyll cells.
