Annelida also called a segmented worm, is any member of a phylum of invertebrate animals.
They are characterised are by the possession of a body cavity (or coelom), movable bristles (or setae), and a body divided into segments by transverse rings, or annulations.
The animals of class Hirudinea of the phylum annelids do not have setae.
All annelids except the leeches have chitinous hair-like structures, called setae that project out from their cuticle.
The setae can also be located on paddle-like appendages which are called parapodia.
