Number of small squares covered by the yellow region = 8
Area covered by the yellow region = 8 × 1
= 8 sq. cm
Number of small squares covered by the red region = 7
Area covered by the yellow region = 7 × 1
= 7 sq. cm
Number of small squares covered by the green region = 7
Area covered by the yellow region = 7 × 1
= 7 sq. cm
So, we can say that yellow region covers the maximum area.
