Wavelength:

  1. As the wavelength decreases, so does the frequency, and as E=hf, where h is constant (Planck's constant), so does the energy carried by the waves.
  2. Short-wavelength waves have the most energy.
  3. Red waves have a relatively long wavelength (around 700nm), whereas violet waves have a much shorter wavelength (roughly half that).
  4. Violet waves carry the most energy because they have the shortest wavelength and the highest frequency in the visible light spectrum.
