Aerobic respiration is a type of respiration that requires oxygen. It has three processes :
  1. Glycolysis is the first step of cellular respiration which occurs in both aerobic and anaerobic inside the cytoplasm. Here glucose breaks into pyruvate molecules.
  2. Krebs cycle is the final stages of respiration, here pyruvate enters the inner mitochondrial membrane than to the mitochondria and gets under oxidative decarboxylation to produce acetate. this starting step of formation of acetyl CoA is termed as link reaction as it is the connecting link between the initial and final stages of aerobic respiration, this is also called as transition reaction.
  3. An electron transport system is the series of a passage of electrons through carriers, it occurs after the Krebs cycle.
