Given:

$Z_{A} = 90, Z_{B} = 85, Z_{C} = 95$ and $Z_{D} = 80$

$\Rightarrow Z_{C} > Z_{A} > Z_{B} > Z_{D} . . . (1)$

We know that, the number of $α -$ particles scattering at an angle $θ$ is proportional to the square of atomic number of target atom $i . e . N (θ) \propto Z^{2}$ .

Therefore, element $C$ will deflect more number of $α -$ particles at a scattering angle of $30^{\circ}$ .
