The correct option is C Sashastra Seema Bal
On 19 June 2001 SSB was given the mandate to guard the Indo-Nepal Border (1751 Kms.) and was declared the Lead Intelligence Agency for that area. The border with Nepal was almost not attended till very recently as Nepalese peoples have free access to live and work in India under a 1950 treaty between the two countries. Since the outbreak of a Maoist rebellion in Nepal, efforts have been made to progressively step up vigilance along this border as India fears the southward spread of Maoist ideology. Thus, the responsibility for this has been entrusted to the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
