Which form of medicine is preferred in fever: tablet or powdered form?
Powdered form because it has more surface area than a tablet.
A medicine in the form of a tablet will dissolve in the stomach and enter the bloodstream slowly as compared to the same medicine in the form of fine powder. This is because the surface area of the tablet is less than its powdered form. Further, the rate of reaction increases with the increase in the surface area of reactants. Thus, the effect of powdered form of medicine will be faster than its tablet form.
