Solution

When a reactive metal reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid, metal displaces hydrogen from the acid, leading to evolution of hydrogen gas with the formation of mtal chloride(salt).

Iron reacts with dil. H2SO4. to form iron sulphate with the evolution of hydrogen gas.
