Solution

The correct option is B

Carbon Dioxide

During photosynthesis, plants take in carbon dioxide and along with water, synthesise glucose and oxygen. The glucose is used as the source of energy and oxygen is released as a by product. This is a reverse process to respiration where oxygen is taken up by the cells to break down glucose and carn dioxide is released.
