Solution

The correct option is C cryIAc and cryIIAb
Cotton bollworms are a type of pest that destroys cultivated crops.

With recombinant DNA technology, crops are made to develop insect/pest resistance intrinsically.

This was done by introducing the genes of an insecticidal protein (Bt toxin) obtained from Bacillus thuringiensis such as cryIAc and cryIIAb into the cotton plants.

This toxin protein is expressed in an inactive form. When the parasitic moths feed on these plants, they consume the protein too which gets activated in their alkaline gut. This results in cell swelling and lysis of midgut epithelial cells and eventually kill the moths.
