Dear Student,

Liver is the largest gland in human beings. It is is involved in digestion via secretion of bile which aids in digestion by emulsifying lipids. Bile indeed is a juice which is alkaline in nature and has organic salts called bile salts. It is around 1.5 kg and performs various functions. Therefore liver is appropriately called the largest digestive gland.
