Depending on the audibility of the human ear sounds can be classified into two, they are infrasonic and ultrasonic sounds.
Sound ranging below 20 Hz is called infrasonic sound.
Examples of infrasonic sounds are sounds produced by earthquakes, thunder, etc.
Sound waves above 20000 Hz or 20 kHz are called ultrasonic sounds.
Examples of ultrasonic sound are the Galton whistle used to train dogs etc.
So it is proven that ultrasonic sound is having a higher frequency.
