Growth hormone is released by the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland. Growth hormone is also called somatotropin which regulates the growth of tissues, cell reproduction, cell regeneration, etc. Thus is responsible for body growth.
Adrenaline is responsible for controlling heart rate, dilation of pupils and secretion of sweat and saliva. Calcitonin works to reduce calcium levels in the blood. Thyroid stimulating hormone is released by the hypothalamus and as its name suggests, it functions to stimulate the thyroid gland to produce two main hormones i.e. T3 and T4.
