Solution

The correct option is B
Progesterone
The cells in the follicle undergo physical changes and produce a structure called a corpus luteum. The corpus luteum produces estrogen and progesterone.

After ovulation, the ruptured follicle is converted to a structure called corpus luteum, which secretes mainly progesterone.

Progesterone supports the pregnancy. Progesterone also acts on the mammary glands and stimulates the formation of alveoli (sac-like structures which store milk) and milk secretion.

Estrogen is the female sex hormone secreted from ovarian follicles and stimulate the development of female secondary sex organs.

Thyroxine is secreted from thyroid gland. It stimulates the consumption of oxygen by metabolically active tissues and also increases the oxidation of glucose in tissues.

Testosterone is the male reproductive hormone. The testes are responsible for making testosterone, the primary male sex hormone, and for producing sperm.

Therefore the correct answer is "option b".
