Lok Sabha may be considered to be the more powerful House of Parliament due to the following reasons:

1. A Money Bill can be introduced in the Lok Sabha only and not in Rajya Sabha and Rajya Sabha cannot do much to stop its passage. It can only delay it by 14 days.

2. The Speaker of Lok Sabha presides over the joint sitting of both the Houses.
