Anhydrous calcium chloride:-

(i) It is an ionic compound.

(ii) It is a crystalline solid which is white in colour at room temperature.

(iii) It is highly soluble in water and hence hygroscopic in nature.

(iv) It is odorless.

(v) Its molecular formula is CaCl2.

Because of hygroscopic in nature, anhydrous calcium chloride is used to remove water vapor.
