Solution

The correct option is B Lala Lajpat Rai
In Lahore, the Senior Superintendent of Police, James A Scott, ordered lathi charge on demonstrations against the Simon Commission. Lala Lajpat Rai, who was leading the rally, was critically injured and died the next month.

Infuriated by this, on 17 December 1927, the young revolutionaries, Bhagat Singh and Shivaram Rajguru shot and killed assistant superintendent of police, John Saunders instead of James Scott. Sukhdev Thapar and Chandrashekhar Azad supported them in this act.
