The tenths part of 0.5 is greater than that of 0.05.

Therefore,

0.5 > 0.05. ( 1 mark )

(c)

$3.3=3\times 1+\frac{3}{10}$

$3.300=3\times 1+\frac{3}{10}+\frac{0}{100}+\frac{0}{1000}$

In this case, the numbers have same parts.

Therefore,

3.3 = 3.300 ( 1 mark )
