Which is greater ratio ?

$2:3$ or $3:4$

Make the denominators of both ratios equal by taking their LCM and then compare.

LCM$(3,4)=12$

$\frac{2}{3}=\frac{2\times 4}{3\times 4}=\frac{8}{12}$

and

$\frac{3}{4}=\frac{3\times 3}{4\times 3}=\frac{9}{12}$

$$\begin{gathered} \frac{8}{12}<\frac{9}{12} \\ or,\frac{2}{3}<\frac{3}{4} \end{gathered}$$

Hence , $3:4$ is greater than $2:3$.
