Question

which is stronger covalent or a hydrogen bond

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student

Covalent bond is stronger than the hydrogen bond, because hydrogen bond is only an electrostatic interaction due to difference in electronegativity between an electronegative atom and hydrogen bonded to electronegative atom. Whereas covalent bond is formed by sharing the valence electrons between two atoms.
