Functions:

  1. The primary function of skeletal muscle is to help in movement as it is attached to the skeletal system.
  2. The contraction and relaxation of these muscles help in the movement of muscles.
  3. These muscles also maintain body posture.
  4. Skeletal muscles also protect visceral organs.
