Gold is the most ductile metal.
Ductile means ability to drawn into wires. Metals are ductile in nature and has metallic bonds in it.
In metallic bonds, electrons are delocalized and shared between many atoms. The delocalized electrons allow metal atoms to slide past one another without being subjected to strong repulsive forces that would cause other materials to shatter.
This kind of bonding is seen in gold, which makes it ductile in nature.
