Which is the plasma protein that forms the blood clot by forming fibrous network and seals the blood vessel?
Fibrin
In the case of cut and bleeding, the wounded tissue degenerates and form the enzyme, thromboplastin. Thromboplastin acts on an inactive enzyme, prothrombin and converts it into an active enzyme, thrombin. The thrombin, in turn, acts on the fibrinogen, a soluble protein, and converts to fibrin, an insoluble protein, which stops the blood flow by sealing the wound.
