Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

Carbon dating is a process in which age of a substance is determined due to the presence of organic matter in it.. The carbon that is used for carbon dating is Carbon-14 (14C). This process measures residual radioactivity. When someone dies, their Carbon-14 contents decreases at a rate which is determined by radioactive decay.
