Which material is required to make a dilute iodine solution?

Iodine solution:

  1. Iodine solution is used to test the presence of starch in a sample substance.
  2. Dilute iodine solution is made by dissolving 10gm of potassium or sodium iodide in 100 mL of water.
  3. In the iodine test, the sample substance will take in a test tube and 2 or 3 drops of dilute iodine solution will add to it.
  4. If the colour turns blue. it indicates the presence of starch.
