Which neuron transmits impulses from CNS to an contracting muscle?
Effector neurons
Effector neurons transmits impulses from the central nervous system to an effector in order to bring about a physiological response to changes in the environment. These effectors are muscle or gland that contracts or secretes in direct response to nerve impulses while the afferent neurons are those which transmit action potentials from sensory receptors to the brain or spinal cord.
