Solution

The correct option is C PCl5
According to Bent's rule, the more electronegative atoms tend to occupy the orbitals that has less s- character. sp3d is a combination of sp2 and pd hybdridization. The equatorial bonds are made up of sp2 and the axial bonds are made up of pd. Hence F in PF2Cl3 occupies the pd orbital and hence Cl will occupy the sp2 orbital.

PCl3 has one lone pair and three bond pairs. It has sp3 hybridization.

PCl5 has five bond pairs. It has sp3d hybridization and hence it has PCl bond with d-character.
