Which of the following adaptations are found in desert plants that helps them survive in hot climatic conditions?

Open in App
Solution

In deserts, there is scarcity of water. Leaves are sites of water loss by transpiration. So, loss of water can not be allowed. Thus, desert plants like cactus have reduced the size of their leaves to spines and have thick cuticle layer, thereby reducing water loss. So, both statements B and C are adaptations seen in plants to survive in hot climatic conditions.
