The first category of amendments are those contemplated in articles 4 (2), 169 (3) -1962, 239A (2) -1962, 239AA (7b) -1991, 243M (4b) -1992, 243ZC (3) -1992, 244A (4) -1969, 356 (1)c, para 7(2) of Schedule V and para 21(2) of Schedule VI.[4] These amendments can be effected by Parliament by a simple majority such as that required for the passing of any ordinary law.   10. Number of puisne judges in the Supreme Court.
  11. Conferment of more jurisdiction on the Supreme Court.

  14. Elections to Parliament and state legislatures.
