Solution

The correct options are
A CH3COONa
C NaCl
a. Reduction potential of H2O> Reduction potential of Na
Hence,
Cathode : 2H2O+2e2OH+H2(solutionisbasic)
Anode : CH3COOKolbeselectrolysisC2H6(Ethane)+2CO2

b. K does not undergo reduction but reduction of H2O occurs to give OH ion and H2(g).
Similarly, NO3 ion does not undergo oxidation but oxidation of H2O occurs to give H ions and O2(g).
H and OH ions get neutralised and pH = 7 (neutral solution).

c. Na ions do not undergo reduction but reduction of H2O occurs to give OH ions and H2(g). (Hence, solution is basic). Cl undergoes oxidation to give Cl2(g).

d. Same explanation as in (b).

Hence, options A and C are correct.
