Solution

The correct options are
A Loss of iron as slag is minimised.
D The byproduct is useful in the industries.
In Bessemerisation, ore is concentrated to molten state and then refined. In this some metal particles go away with impurities. It does not happen in open-hearth process, i.e., loss of Iron is minimized.
In open-hearth process, self-combustion occurs. There is no-loss of gain of any other substance, but they are separated. The separated by-products are used in industries.
