Which of the following are involved in providing protection to the brain?
Skull
Meninges
Cerebrospinal Fluid
The brain is one of the most vital organs present in our body. It controls our thoughts, memory, speech, movement of the limbs, and the function of many organs within our body. Due to its significance, the brain is protected by a hard bony structure known as the skull which provides a protective cavity for the brain, a three-membraned layer known as meninges and the CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) which is filled in the inner membrane of the meninges. Apart from protection, the CSF provides oxygen and nutrients to the brain tissues and also regulates the pressure inside the brain.
