Persistent rains
Floods can be caused by both natural and human activities. Natural phenomena like persistent and heavy rains cause overflowing of rivers which can lead to floods. Similarly, global warming which has caused majorly due to pollution caused by human activities causes melting of glaciers which in turn can lead to floods. Other human activity such as deforestation can also result in floods as the water is retention is reduced by the soil if there are fewer trees.
