Solution

The correct option is A Adipocytes
Adipose tissues are subcutaneous (below the skin) fats. The cells of adipose tissues are called adipocytes.
Bones are specialised connective tissues. These are hard and non- pliable. The ground substance is made up of calcium salts and collagen. Ossein protein is present in bones. Cells of bone tissue are called osteocytes. They are present in spaces called lacunae. Osteoblasts are bone forming cells. Osteoclasts are bone destroying cells. They are required for bone remodelling.
Cartilage are specialised connective tissues. These are semi rigid and flexible. In most vertebrates, most embryonal cartilage are replaced by bones in adults. They are found at the tip of the nose and outer ear (auricle/pinna). Pinna is a characteristic feature of mammals only. Pinna muscles are vestigial in humans. These are comparatively avascular. Cells of cartilage are called chondrocytes.
Platelets are also known as thrombocytes. They are found in the blood and arise from megakaryocytes.
