Hindu College In 1817, Raja Ram Mohan Roy founded Mahapathshala (Hindu College) at Kolkata along with some other personalities such as Raja Radhakanta Deb, Maharaja Tejchandra Ray of Burdwan, David Hare, Justice Sir Edward Hyde East, PrasannaCoomar Tagore and BabuBuddinath Mukherjee.
