Natural gas is a flammable gas which consists largely of methane (90%) and other hydrocarbons, occurring naturally underground and is used as a fuel. It produces very less pollution compared to the conventional fuels like petrol, diesel, coal, wood etc. as it doesn't produce ash (unburnt carbon).
