Which of the following are true for bone marrow?
HIV / AIDS
Malaria
Diabetes
B-cells and T-cells are produced in the bone marrow. Bone marrow is present in long bones inside the medullary cavity. The B-cells undergo maturation and differentiate into antigen sensitive cells here in the bone marrow itself, and are hence called B-cells. However, although the T-cells also originate in the bone marrow, they become antigen sensitive in the thymus, and hence the name T-cells.
