Which of the following arrangement A, B, C and D given in Fig. should not be set up? Explain, why.

Arrangement A is not desirable and should not be set up. This is because, in this arrangement, no devices are connected in between positive and negative terminal. Hence the flow of current will be rapid and this will exhaust the cell very quickly.
