Solution

The correct option is B

Endoplasmic reticulum - Golgi complex - Secretory vesicle

The DNA present in the nucleus produces RNA which comes out of the nucleus through the nuclear pores. This RNA also known as mRNA attaches itself to the ribosomes. Here protein synthesis takes place. In the ribosome, a linear chain of the protein is formed. This protein is non-functional. Protein chains need to undergo proper folding and modification in order to be functional.
Thus, the linear protein formed by the ribosome enters the lumen of the RER. From here the proteins are packed into sacs called vesicles and sent to the Golgi apparatus (complex). In the golgi apparatus, the linear protein undergoes folding and modification to become functional. Once functional, again the protein is packed in vesicles and sent to the target site in the cell or secreted outside the cell via the secretory vesicle.
